Well, just made it back from a little afternoon trip to McTucker Ponds with my brother.
Using the satellite photo from the post below we decided to try pond #7 first for some bass. So many tiny blue gill and sunfish were visible from the shore, and a few small bass. Caught some blue gill using worms and a brook rapala. Used my flying lures which I don't usually get to try and did get some bites and even caught a sunfish, so I feel justified now. I've never really fished for bass before so I don't really even bother getting my flying lures out.
We were going to head home but decided to try for some trout in pond 4 as it was getting dark. Ended up catching a small perch, bass and a 12" rainbow on a worm, a bass on the brook rapala and, and maybe 8 bass and a bluegill on some perch rapalas.
I had to go wading twice to get the rapalas unstuck, but it was a good trip once we switched ponds. Definitely taking the little aluminum boat out next time.
