<br /> ME and Troy have a nephew in from Oklahoma who has been dying to go fishing with us to try for a big cat. So yesterday morning..bright and early we loaded up and headed to the lake. Jonathon caught the first fish..a very nice 28 lb blue. He said that fish almost made him tired!!! LOL emoBig
Then he proceeeded to tell us about how his other uncle out in oklahoma..catches fish with his bare hands that are like 20 lbs!! emoEek Well..me being the uncle that I am...asked the young lad if he had ever tried this method of fishing himself ? He said &amp;quot;No but id sure like to give it a try&amp;quot;!!! Well...I called his bluff!!! emoPoke <br /> The area I was fishing didnt have very many prospective holes and this is my first year doing this so called grabblin..noodling ( I think they call it that because youve lost your noodle if you try it) aka. snakehandling...So i was unsure as exactly where and how to look for the right place. So I took what I learned in my training classes from the SPURHUNTER...and put it to good(?) use! The first place I checked had some very good sized holes under it...but no cigar. The second place i checked didnt really look like it would produce at first..but when i went walking down the edge I stepped off into a VERY LARGE hole and I swear I became giddy!!!! emoCrazy I told the boy I was gonna go in a check it out...I forgot to put on my gloves and when I put my arm in at first didnt feel anything...then I went deep...arm extended all the way to my shoulder and BOOM!!! The fish Bit the S&amp;amp;^%$ outta me!!! When I came back up for air the boy had a look on his face like he had just been Shot!!! emoEek He said&amp;quot;what the crap was that&amp;quot; ? He was standing on the top os the hole when the fish THUMPED me . He said the whole earth moved..he thought it was an earthquake!!! LOLOL <br /> This time I got my gloves on and went back in....BOOM..Bit me again and nearly ripped my glove off!! I knew at this point it was a good fish since he put my hand and my forearm in his mouth!!!! I came back up and said hes gonna be a good one....be ready!! Went back in and BOOMMMMMM he hit me again...but this time Ol WLG got ahold of HIM!!! He had not heard of me!!! This fish didnt like the fact that I had ahold of him and proceeded to try to drag me in the hole with him....but I was able to get my feet dug into the gravel bottom and the fight was on!!!! When I dragged the beast out the boy said....my uncle in Oklahoma aint never caught one like that!!! I got the fish to the bank got a weight on him...48 lbs!!! Making it my new PB grabbled flathead!! The owners of the property had watched the whole ordeal and could not believe their eyes!! The lady said..OMG I swim there all the time!!! I told her the fish didnt want to bite me...It had to!! LOL emoBig emoBig After all the oooing and aaaaaing I let the big boy back in the water and he safely swam off! Man what a day!!! We hit some other places in the area and one fish escaped the grip of WLG this time...but his day is coming...STAY TUNED!!!!
