Saddle Island Stripers 7/19/10
#1
Hi. I just found this forum. Nice to see all the reports and tips from fellow NV anglers. I thought I would throw down a report myself.

7/17/10-7/18/10 - (Sandy Cove) I had the family out to sandy cove on both Saturday and Sunday for some fun and sun. I threw out my usual threaded live worm (set and forget) and caught 4 cats on Saturday another 6 on Sunday. The largest was around 19". We were beached right of the point. Probably could have caught more but I was not tending the lines. Everytime I went into the boat to grab a smoke, it was FISH ON.

7/19/10 (Saddle Island) Since I have the boat at LVBH for the week while I do some work on the trailer, I decided to grab my brother and run out for a quickie right before dark. We got on the water about 7:00 pm and decided to troll the wall at Saddle Island. (from Tower to point) we were in 50-80' of water and trolling at 2-4 mph . We landed 3 stripers before 8:00 pm and headed in. They were all small guys from 14-17 inch. They were hitting on the 4" deep thunderstick at 10'-15'. BTW, I never marked a single fish on the FF. The fish were released.
