Green River
#1
Wondering if anybody has hit the Green lately. Will be hitting the A and part of the B section next weekend. If anybody knows what has been doing well would appreciate it. Nymph or dries.

I went there over the 24th of July week. Fished for 3 days.

Day one there were a bunch of caddis and trout flies coming off, and the dries worked better. Size 12 - 14 elk hair caddis. Yellow body, or even an orange body seems best.

Day two and three, small, and I mean [#000000]small nymphs. Size 22 - 24. WD 40s, pheasant tails both with and without beads, hares ears tied on a curved scud hook, and thread bodied midge emergers.[/#000000]

Grass hoppers worked down through the B section, but nymphs still worked better, so put a dropper below the dry fly.

Good luck, please post results.

Thanks for the info. I love the Green and can't wait to get back down there. Two more days. If anyone has any newer info, that would be awesome. I will let you all know how it goes when I get back. Hopefully it doesn't rain on us the entire time.
