Shadow1 and I went back out Thursday evening for another fun evening of fishing. We started out on a ledge and managed 2 fish then moved on to a hump where we were marking alot of bait fish and feeding fish. We started throwing CB's, spoons, and worms and caught numerous stripe and and some nice 2 1/2 to 3 lb largemouth. If you could get below the stripe the largemouth were there and very aggresive. The wind was blowing from the north pretty good so that seemed to keep them from coming up in the jumps. While we were fishing in the middle of the river, we had 3 feathered friends join us right at the boat and one even came in the boat with us two different times. I don't think Jeff liked that very much but it was fun watching them swim around and eat some crackers we had left in the boat from a previous trip. I have had ducks get in my boat when I've been around a dock but I think this was a first for them to swim to the middle of the river and get in the boat. Another month or so and if they are that friendly with a duck hunter they'll find themselves in a skillet or hanging on someone's wall. As it was getting dark we preceded to fish some grass beds out of the wind and only managed one more fish. The water temperature has cooled some from last weekend as it was 83 with a north wind all night. Thank you again Jeff for sharing your boat and the fun fellowship on the chick.
