Got on the water around 4 this afternoon and fished to about 8 this evening.
I fished Tuesday evening as well, caught about 17 or so that day. The fish were hard to find Tuesday, but found the fish loaded up in several places. So I started the day off in some of those places. First spot had no fish in it emoBang Moved on to the second spot, a little hidden point... nothing there either. Cranked up and headed into a mainlake pocket nearby, the fish were there... but was hard to get them to bite. I eventually picked up 2 with the dropshot, with one of them being my biggest of the day at nearly 16.5". Both were caught in 20-25FT.
Headed to Indian creek, fished there for about 45 minutes. Only saw 2 fish on the graph the whole time in there. Got back out on the main lake, into another pocket. Found nothing there. Finally decided to get on a couple main lake points, found nothing at either point emoBang
Moved down the lake into another pocket. Finally found a few fish there, and they were actually biting pretty well too. Put another 10 fish in the boat over the next 45 minutes or so. Had one good one that I hooked up with in about 15FT come up and jump about 2 FT out of the water and came off. Looked to be about 3lbs emoDoh . By 7:30 I trolled out of the pocket and fished a point next to it, nothing there at all. Went back into the pocket and boated 2 more small spots, and by 8PM or so I headed in.
The fish are being very tough to find right now, but seems like the average size fish today was 14-15", beats the 11-13" average LOL. Hopefully they'll pick up soon and we start seeing alot of big ones. Maybe by next month? I know it will be on fire at the end of next month and beginning of November. Not too long from now! emoThumbsup
All fish were caught on dropshots today and the water temps ranged from 79.8 to 81.6F... It's coming down well, but still is mixing up a little bit. I dont think those fish like the water being 80F here and 81F just 50 yards away. Seems like my best days are when the temps are exactly the same all over the lake. emoConfused
Oh well, I'll be looking into this further emoBigSmile Gonna attach a picture of the biggest from today, good luck and be safe on the water!
