Was out surfing yesterdaysay alot of birds diving rather close to sure. Found myself wondering if the fishing would be good in the area. When I was getting out of the water I ran into two fisherman on the beach surfcasting using squid and grunion they said they got the previous evening. said they had only been there about an hour and alredy got a few bites. They were hoping the grunion would show up again last night and bring in some fish.
Has anybody had any luck surfcasting at Huntington?

over there by dog beach have been some corbina.
how was the surf? i was out friday morning at 6:30 and the swell was AWESOME! we saw some 6 footers! it was great. the waves were forming absolutly perfectly. I was on my body board that day... got tubed 3-4 times! yipeeeeeeee

8 feet! geez! reminds me of the storm that rolled in last year. it brought in some 12 footers... but im not riding those! even on my bodyboard.heck no! I went a couple of days after and it was about 8.
