Crabbing at night on the Bay?
#1
I've been searching the DNR website and it is still unclear to me if I can crab for recreational purposes at night on the Chesapeake Bay. I usually just throw out 2 collapsible traps while fishing off the bridge at Choptank. The other day someone came up to me and told me to watch out for DNR since crabbing was illegal at night. Can someone confirm this? Thanks
BTW I think we can catch females crabs up until Oct 4.

I crab for recreational purposes in the Chesapeake Bay and you are not allowed to crab after sun down any day of the week as well as your not allowed to crab on Wednesdays all day.

So yes, the guy was right, it's not allowed.
