Launched out of HBSP. Talked to Jmax a bit before setting off. Fished a Spook around shallow grass with no takers. 3-4 blowups though. Ran to an underwater point north of Soddy Creek. They wanted none of a Carolina rig or shakeyhead. Did manage a limit of spots on a jig though. They were fat and healthy but my best 5 would've gone no more than 9 lbs. I can usually catch a few largemouth there but didn't land a one. Kept the boat in 25-30 feet of water and threw up into 10. Green pumpkin interested them the most. Water temp was between 77 and 79 degrees. Wind wasn't much of a factor. elwestb, and I believe his dad, came by to say hello. Earl sayed he was having a good day himself.
