<br /> Dad and I went over to Nickajack late afternoon and put in at Macedonia. Stayed over near the cave and fished the grass with topwater baits, flukes, and toads. Ended up catching 14 bass in 2.5 hours, with the majority coming on the toads. The technique we used was to slow reel the toad over the edges of the grass. Also had some luck throwing the flukes into the holes and twitching quickly. Not much size, with five best pushing 10-11 pounds, but fun nonetheless.<br /> A beautiful day on the lake with dear ole dad. I knew I should have been pre-fishing the Chick, but Dad wanted to head over to the Nick, and since he was buying the gas, he won out.
