Labman and I got together this AM for some crappie fishing. I picked him up at CFP at 8:30 and we proceeded to look for some fish. We fished humps, docks, and bluffs, and caught about 1/3 of our fish off each structure. We had 39 total crappie, hooked up about 4 or 5 bass, 1 channel cat, and 1 rock bass. We fished 1/32, 1/24, and 1/16 oz jigs with BG shads. Some of our fish came very shallow as the feed was on early, then when the fish slowed down, the fish went deeper and we finally ended up with another feeding spree and the fish were about medium depth (8 to 10 feet).

Labman has learned the how-to portion of crappie fishing. He probably caught 65% of the fish today. But at 12:30 in the middle of a hot bite, he got a phone call from a veteran poster who will remain anonymous and offered him a better deal. So I had to take him back to the CFP in order to go chase those old trashy green fish. emoPoke emoSmile That ended our crappie fishing day.

Actually, I had to quit fishing at 12:30 in order to keep an appointment this afternoon with Dr Phillip, but Norman did get the phone call and will be chasing bass this afternoon. He better post a report too. emoBig
emoGeezer

I enjoyed out time together again this AM, Norman. Let's do this again real soon. I know that you are getting bored fishing for those nasty other fish. emoUp
