Got a call from an old College buddy about going to the coast and chasing some redfish. We got there Wednesday afternoon and got the boat in the water around 5:30. We tried to fish the evening outgoing tide but the fish never turned on for us. We got up to hit the outgoing tide again Thursday morning and found quite a few redfish. I had a ton of fish by myself and they were keeping up just fine. I think we had 45 or 50 in the hour and a half they were working good. We junk fished for most of the day picking up the occasional fish that wouldn't cull what we already had. Ended up picking up the flounder and trout while doing this. Around 4:30 or so we decided to try for some sheepshead with some fiddler crabs. Mike took it to them and ended up catching all our sheepshead. We drifted around the cove to see if we could net some menhaden for cut bait, we got over a school and I threw a perfect circle with the cast net and ended up needing help to get the net out of the water. Ended up with a 5 gallon bucket full to overflowing with menhaden. we called it a night and hit the sea shack for dinner. (Fantastic food by the way) Got up early Friday morning to hit the tide and the weather had changed and they never turned on. Ended the week with a limit on Thursday and a few dinks on Friday. Need to figure out how to limit out every day instead of just one out of three but other than that a pretty good trip. Christy and I had blackened redfish for dinner Saturday night.

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/mms_picture_5.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/mms_picture_3.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/mms_picture.jpg
http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj8/bobaftt1212/Fish/mms_picture2.jpg
