Sorry this is late, but we have been busy. So first I would like to say "THANK YOU" to all of my CFF friends for helping me out and answering my questions....! You all are just the best and I know that I can always come here and get any help, on any subject, and at any time. thanks so much!!!

Now on to the fishing. Now I have not been on any water for a while, but my parents were coming down to stay the weekend with us, and my Dad was wanting to get out and do some fishing. We got up and got started Saturday morning and both of us were still very full from the night before. I do love Bea's, but man I always over do it so much....! I decided to take Dad down on the river just in case I had a hard time finding any fish on chick. I thought for sure I could find some on the river. We ran up to the dam to start and I was surprised to not see that many boats up there. I think I saw around 8, but I figured I would see 15 or more. We did not see much action above the RR bridge so we stopped and fished around at the bridge some. Dad started out hot popping two spots within the first 6 cast and I just knew it was going to be a fun day. Well things cooled off quick and we moved around the dam to a couple different spots and could not find any more bites. I planned to show dad some of the river so I said lets run down and see what we could find. We stopped and fished some along the rip-rap on the GPS field side where I have had some luck before and besides a couple strikes we just could not get any into the boat there. I then took him on a little tour/show and tell around downtown and took our time checking things out and just talking... We were both very surprised at just how small the Nina and Pinta were. I could not imagine how hard it had to be to cross the ocean on them. Very cool to see...! So then we moved down to Moccasin Bend and spent the rest of the day here. We pretty much ran the whole outside bank and through just about everything I could think of or had been told to at them... Dad was the one who put on a 6" rootbeer curly tail worm TX rigged on a 1/8oz weight and went to killing me with spots.... He really showed me up... I even broke down and asked him for one after a while... Who would have thought to do that? Not me, but that just shows that the old man can and will always be able to still show his son how it is done!!! We had a very good time together as it had been about 4 years since the last time we had been fishing. I can't wait till the next time he can come back, and I plan to work hard to get better at catching fish before then too.
