Louie B, Carters Lake Good Day, Big Spot, Meanest Bass that swims, 10.31.10
#1
I've had a tough week on the pond. Our turnover looks like it's almost over and the bite, at least for today acted like it. For the past two weeks a good trip for me and my people has been 12-15 spots for the day fishing very hard. Quality has taken a step back too, typical turnover fishing for me. Frustrating b/c there's just not a lot you can do about it. This week the water has cleared a lot and the fishing has picked up a bit each day. Best day until today for numbers was 15 fish.

Today we boated over 20 keepers with one big spot of 4+ and two other solid 3's (not pictured). We caught fish on jerkbaits, grubs, and worms. Best bait today for numbers and the big spot was a 3/16 jig head w/ 6 inch Squirrel Tail Worm in SE Shad. We were one worm away from using a whole pack today.

If you're going to Carters in the next week or two throw every bait you have confidence in, deep and shallow. Fish are all over the radar right now and the best thing to do is to switch baits every few minutes until you find something that's working on that particular day.

Here's a couple of photo's from today including my partner and his 4yr old grandson Jonah.... They came over around lunch today and wacked a dozen spots in 2 hours.

LB
