Hiwassee (Howie) let met tag along bright and early Saturday morning. Put in at HBSP about 7:30am in the FOG, it was incredibly dense and took a good bit until it burned off. We started off fishing frogs in the grass and stumps, it paid off I had my first LM hit it hard a few feet from the boat...he was a nice chunky 2.5lber. After the fog burned off we hit several slough's with moderate success in each and every one, there was no lack of baitfish in each slough we visited. All fish were caught on frogs, swimbaits and worms. We ended the day fishing a rock wall where Hiwassee hooked up with a nice TARP Crappie on a Silver Buddy, I didn't even know what a Silver Buddy was until Saturday. He makes his own and the hooks on the Silver Buddy are SHARP, should be registered as a Deadly Weapon. Was a good day fishing and hanging with my old buddies. All fish were released.
