James and I have not been fishing since the Gunterville CFF so it was time for us to wet a hook again. Considering the last time we went the motor pump broke we needed to have a day that was uneventful and catch a couple fish.

It was slow and cold. Started off decent with three in the boat off top water within the first thirty minutes. Had two close to keepers but not quite and one good one at 3.5 lbs. emoThumbsup Died for the next hour but finally got another slick on top. Moved a couple more times and had a couple more slicks on blades. We could not catch anything on top and the blade bite died. Switched to a crank and had a nice 2 lb keeper kill it. Not too long after that one I boated the best perch I have ever caught on the chick. Fished for a couple more hours without so much a smell. Finally changed to finess worms and boat another keeper on a rock point. As I was getting mine off James rares back into another good one that looked to be about 2.5 lbs. Got it almost to the boat and it gave him his worm back. emoRolleyes Next cast he boated the best one of the day at 4 lbs but it was the wrong kind....catfish. emoDoh I boated a drum so we were catching a good mix. Moved again and caught one more on a finess worm to end our boated bass. We did have several more hits and lost a couple more but could not get them in. Not a bad day but kind of slow. We left at 3 oclock. I had to get home and put everything up before the Hogs play the Gamecocks. emoDance Jmax
