craazyboutbass, Parksville, Slow day Spots, 11/7/10, Sethcoleman
Seth and I met up at noon and headed to the lake. We fished til dark.
Bluebird skies, quite a bite of wind.... was not sure wether they would be biting or not.
Bite turned out being awful. 90% of the fish were in deep water and not biting at all. The ones that were active were shallow, but very hard to find. Ended up putting 9 in the boat with 4 small keepers. Caught them on dropshots and shakeyheads mainly out of mainlake pockets. At one point I was reeling in one of the small keepers and a 4-5lb spots chases it to the boat. Oh I hate seeing a big spot that I cant catch emoBigSmile
I dont know if there's much else to report, bite was slow caught a few and that was about it.
Hope you had a good time Seth... we talked to fischnrod out there a couple times today, good seeing you. The spots are usually a little more active up there on days like this, but maybe they've been pressured too hard this weekend? Lots of fishermen out there today, I dont think anyone caught much.
With the warmer weather coming in this week, I have no clue what that will do to the fishing. Hopefully make it better, but you never know.
Water temps were around 62F today and water level is just a foot under full pool and coming down. Parksville should be winter pool within the next month.
