lake powell
#1
After much debate we decided to head to bullfrog and launch from there, didn't want to take a chance of getting the motorhome stuck at Hite. we fished forgotton canyon on friday and managed to get a few stripers in the late afternoon. Saturday we decided to head to Hite to fish but got tired of the boat ride and fished good hope bay. We managed to pull out a few smallmouths and a couple of bigger largemouths but we couldn't locate any stripers. We crossed the bay and fished a little canyon on the north side of the channel just north of buoy 125 and managed a couple more bass. We then found a few stripers to play with. They played for about an hour and then nothing. We headed back to forgotten canyon and never caught another fish. The weather was beautiful and there was nobody on the lake or in the campgrounds.

We didn't get any stripers on topwater. Forgotten canyon they were in 60' of water and up in good hope bay we found them in 30' of water. We had the best success using a white jig head with a chunk of anchovy right on the bottom. My buddie took some pics and I am still waiting for him to send them to me.
