craazyboutbass, Parksville, Lots of small spots, w/ good one at the end, 11/15/10, Jim
Jim and I got out today for a few hours. It was wet and nasty, surely the fish would be biting.
They were biting well but nothing of size at all until the 32nd fish Smile
With the water temps being 59F, we threw the FnF a little. Did manage a couple small ones on it. But it was slow. Mainly threw a texas rig finesse worm all day. Did have fun tearing up the little ones on it. Most fish were in the trees off bluff walls. I guess the bigger ones were on the bluff walls but way deeper. Any fish on the graph wouldn't bite today. Either they were bigger fish or something else.
Anyways, deadsticking a t-rig up in the trees was the ticket... atleast for the numbers of small spots. Managed 5 total keepers out of 33 spots today. Biggest I caught right at the end, it went 19.9 inches long and weighed in a 3.78lbs on Jims scale. The big one (for me) I've been waiting for in all the 4 hours of fishing! Yeah with it being cloudy I was expecting a big one with it being this time of the year. After a while I was saying id be happy with one going atleast 18". I guess it was just a little luck.
Our second biggest was only around 16" maybe... lots of 10-12" spots as well as a couple of 6 inchers LOL. Anyone who wants to load up on some good eatin spots should come up there and take some of those small ones home emoHungry They are aggressive right now.
It was a nice day, the rain never stopped but it was never a heavy rain atleast. Scenery on days like this is awesome up there. emoToast
