After getting our butts whipped this morning on the Chick, we hit the Riverpark. Man what a good choice. The water was high and the current was moving so we knew we would have a good day.
We fished the same bank we had been fishing the past few weeks and our smallies were home. We threw pig n jigs and power minnows and boated 6 smallies, 7 blue cats, 1 drum, 1 largemouth, and 5 spots. Alvin got a toad smallie on a powerminnow that went 3.4 lbs and measured 19.25 inches. We each got smallies in the 2.5 lb range and I got a 15 lb blue cat on a pig n jig that gave up an awsome fight. Alvin boated 6 more blues all on drop shot powerminnows and I added a drum on the pig n jig. Awsome 3 hours on the water.
Water temp was 61 degrees.
