Terrorising catfish found dead
A large catfish which terrorised a German town for years has been found dead.
The 110lb fish was nicknamed Jaws after eating a Dachshund that strayed into his lake in Moenchengladbach.
A few tufts of fur and a collar were all that was ever found of the dog.
Anglers from all over Germany had flocked to the park hoping to catch Jaws.
However the fish has been found dead, washed up at the edge of the lake, says The Sun.
Keeper Detlef Berschens plans to have Jaws stuffed and mounted.
He said: "It could be he died of lead poisoning from the fishermen's weights, but most of the experts seem to think he just died from old age."
