cave lake? If you want to use your new boat there, i hope it is rigged for ice breaking...lol
i just troll and caught 10 in about 2 hours this past weekend out of Echo Bay. Nothing big... everything was in the 1-5 pound range.....
the wind was horrible this weekend. first time i ever heard them single out the "Overton Arm" on the weather report on my marine handheld for a wind advisory. There were 3-5 footers for awhile than the weather calmed down on sunday.

Thats like asking someone where to gamble[sly] it varies day to day sometimes hour to hour. Your right on with swimbaits and cranks Ive landed many fish on those. Keep tryin and you'll hook up you have the advantage with a boat. Get out there and fish. Good Luck
