Black blade spinner for River Smallies

I was told this was a great lure w a black skirt w a trace of chartruse - for fishing Smallies in a clear river, what do you guys think? Thanks

On spinnerbaits I use black on cloudy days and white on sunny days. It would pay to have it in your box.

The lakes in my neighborhood where i fish most of the time are pretty murky, so i take a white spinner bait through there you can see it clearly from the bank as it moves through the weeds, and same thing use color according to the color of water and the climate around you.
