Hey,I'll let you in on a little secret,Alfred told me not to tell anyone, but you are so far it doesn't matter, plus I don't know if its a good technique for your area, anyway try running it on the surface like a snake, try a fast retrieve near structure,or weeds,or overhanging brush, ect.Use a 1/32 ounce bullet weight if needed, make far cast, use lighter line if needed.Alfred calls it a woosh, when the bass nails it on the surface, bass attack like a great white shark,I've seen big bass leap out of the water this way, plus they eat snakes, here, seen them with them in the mouth, couple of times, also seen them get eaten,as they swim across the canal. He uses finness worms "with no tail",I use Tikki snake or Manns hardnoise snake,or even v tail worms or u tails, lizzards, run them on the surface, maybe you'll get a nice woosh, have fun,Once I saw a bass hydro plane just to get my frog, cause it was so shallow, inches, were I cast.Bass landed on my frog, then hydroplaned back to deeper water,I set the hook as he was on a plane towards deeper water, this is the weirdest thing I've seen a bass do,he was a 2,1/2 pounder,Once a small bass jumped across my jon boat,I must of spooked him up against the bank, you can here his tail flap in the wind,he kept perfect form, jumped inbetween us both,we both saw it ,had a good laugh, must of cleared like 4 feet .10' jon boat, lol
