[cool]My wife(Beth) and I went to willow beach this am at 5:30. Got in our floattubes and started kicking up river from the fish hatchery. We were after stripers with ac plugs,sliders,large spoons and an 8wt. flyrod. Got past the hatchery casting all the way with the slider and Bam! Fish on. Nice fight for about five minutes( haven't had a good fish on since february) and a stocky 6.5 lber hits the net. We keep going up river 3/4 mile to mile marker 53 when current is taking its toll. Make the turn around and cast all the way back for nada. Nice to be in the water(60 degrees) and float a place we've only shore fished. Going back again soon.

man you always gettin em no matter where you go!! I'm gonna have to invest in a float tube or 2 need the excersize anyways LOL nice catch, and I bet that cool water was wonderful in the heatwave we got goin on keep it up![fishon]

[cool]It was great with the cool water. Didn't start sweating til just before getting out. The tube is a great way to fish more isolated areas.
