Took a short trip into Wyoming over the weekend. Started out fishing Fontenelle res on friday, got there about 4:00 PM and trolled the end by the dam, cant remember ever loosing so many fish, we would hook them for a few seconds and then they were gone. I'm thinking they were probably kokanee. Just before dark we did start hooking up with some browns we caught 4 all of them around 17 inches long.
Saturday morning we caught 1 more brown just before dawn and then nothing, we left the res at 11:00 and drove over to Naughton. The wind was howling so there were very few boats out on the lake. Not being the smartest bunch, we decided to brave it and headed out, got soaked from the spray the waves would make when they crashed into the side of our boat as we made our way around the lake. After about two hours we found some fish, hooked a couple splake and several very nice rainbows, the largest being a little over 4 lbs.
Fun trip, I just wish somebody would turn that wind switch off once in a while.
