Met up with wiperhunter this afternoon around 5 to chase some wipers... the day started out tough with only a few micro boils early on and no fish accounted for.. after seeing very little action we decided it was time to make a move and start looking for something .. drove for 20 min without so much as a single splash on the flat calm lake ...
Around 700 it finally happend and didn't stop till the wind blew us off the lake, 21 wipers between the two of us in 1.5 hours I picked up thirteen and curt picked up 8.. we lost and missed many more.
Good times with great people! ! Thanks again! ! Can't wait to hit some more topwater wipers!

Nice one. Sounds like the "switch goes on" then the "lights go off". But what - no pix? Guess it's getting to be like white bass fishing - everyone knows what a Wiper looks like...[cool]
Wiperhunter's a good guy isn't he? Nice that you guys got out and hooked up into them. I'd pester you for details, but not in front of the lurkers!
Was hoping to make it down yesterday, but was tied up till 6, but planning on it for sure today. Got my hall pass, and ready to roll!
That's a lot of fish in a short window of time. That MUST be such a rush!

Really enjoyed getting out there with you Joe, sure glad we got into some wipers again. I was starting to wonder for a while there if it was going to happen. I woke up this morning with a sore shoulder but was thinking, what a way to go[cool]. I've got to change some equipment so I can make some longer cast like you do. So many wipers, so little time to chase them in the evening. Here is a pic of one of the wipers you caught last night.

i got three wiper and cat fish all on the fly. i also damn near got hit by some A hole who thought it would be fun to also cut me off on the ramp. but its ok, i remember that dodge and boat with the large letters stenciled in on the side, im sure ill see him again!

Seems like some folks have no respect for smaller boats and it can get downright dangerous if you don't keep an eye out for them.
We were casting toward the shore yesterday and a guy tried to get between us and the shore. I yelled at him and he backed off but that is not the case every time. Sometimes it can get ugly.Hopefully you yelled at the guy to let him know what he was doing wasn't cool?
