Interesting video. Looks like on your first two casts you got short strikes. Then I saw the size of the bass and figured your lure may be too big. They appear about the same size as those LM bass I find at the bottom pond of Floyd Lamb.
Personally, I like to use UL rods with UL luresfor the small ones. I think this area would be conducive for that. Finding and catching fish is always fun regardless of the size.

Thanks for the feedback nelson. This area has the potential for some big state record fish. So I wouldnt dare throw anything on a UL because it would be over before you even get a chance to crank the reel. The trick is you want a nice MD action fiberglass rod. Nice and strong but still is mushy enough to absorb the strikes.[cool]

Lol [cool] No bass battle tomorrow Troylee. Me and the whizzle have had disagreements in the past jus the way it is. Although I would like to see some kind of BFT fish competition all members can participate in. Formated like the utah ice fishing challenge.[fishin]

hey were human ish happens.... i was hella jealous haha....hoping as the cooler weather rolls in shore fishing gets better.... i might have to sneak up to utah before the snow kicks in and shuts the spots down....i hit sunset park yesterday after a morning at the lake and didn't even get a bite.... one guy there said he caught 150 in one day "yeah right" i saw one big bass jumping all over the pond but no luck with him either.... trout season on the urban ponds is decent and fun with the kiddies... we don't eat them just catch and release so it don't matter where we catch them...the lake was 3/4 of the way shut down all fenced off only leaving the shore on the south side of the pond accessible so it was real pita because people would feed the ducks right where your pole is and become a tangled mess.[mad]...
