2011 cow elk

Woohoooo I finally got me an elk..... My buddy and I went up to tex creek Monday and walked a skyline for about 2.5 miles and sat at a good spot and waited and watched and a heard of 12 (8 cows 4 calves) come walking up the hill side. Boom Boom later we have a cow and a calf down. It was the most horrible time taking them out and I have A LOT of home work to do for next yr on how to make it an easier hunt..
