Hi...
Just wanted to say 'hello' and sort of introduce myself. I fish quite a bit with my husband. I always have questions and he doesn't always have the answers, like identifying certain fish for instance. Anyway, I'm going to take a few days to browse around this site so that I become more familiar with it. Hope to get better acquainted with everyone here real soon.

Welcome to the site Fishin-Chick. Have you had a chance to look around our different boards yet? We have state boards and freshwater and saltwater fishing boards and many more. I'm sure one of our board could help you with any question you have about identifying certain fish.
It appears you reside in Florida, so I'll move your post there so some of the locals can say hi. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Thank You WH2...I appreciate that. I'm still 'getting-my-feet-wet' on this forum. Lots of advertising on this site so it's a little overwhelming for me visually at the moment. I'm logging on each day to just get a feel for the layout. I had some hectic weeks lately so haven't had a chance to do any fishing with my husband lately, but I surely appreciate your response and look forward to interacting with you and others in the next few weeks.

Hi! You must hang out a lot on the Bay Bridge. I've fished all over Pensacola area. Rite now if I was you I'd go to Sherman Cove and fill up on pinfish. Drag a 1/2 oz egg sinker with a leader and a #10 hook thru thr pass. Live pinfish is the bait. Early morning outgoing tide is best. Big redfish.

My home town is Gulf Breeze and every time I go back up there to visit family, I make time to go fishing either with my daughter or with my brother, but he lives in Navarre so that's usually where we end up fishing...the ICW around piers and docks mostly. But I live in Ocala, Florida now so we drive to Crystal River and fish as far north as Yankeetown down to the Ozello mangrove canals. My husband likes to target redfish and they are a lot of fun to fight. I like to fish the flats and catch a variety of fish. Just had the opportunity to go kayak fishing and absolutely fell in love with it so I'm on the look-out for a kayak of my own here soon.
