Happy Thanksgiving to all the members of this site. My daughter lives in Nairobi, Kenya, where she teaches and operates a safari company. Her stories of life in Africa and the terrible conditions for so many of the native African people constantly remind me of how fortunate we are to live in this country. We have much to be thankful for. Mike

This weekend, we will be celebrating Thanksgiving.
Yes, we will have the turkey dinner with all the trimmings but this year, I bow my head and give thanks for the many blessings in my life. I give thanks to the Banjo Minnow and the Helicopter Lures who parted me from my hard earned money for absolutely nothing in return. I give thanks to all the TV fishermen who showed me how to catch fish from a private lake that I couldn't possibly afford to fish in. I give thanks to my $300 GLoomis rod and my $200 Shimano reel that never caught me anything larger than what my old Ugly Stick combo did. I give thanks to my $30,000 Skeeter bass boat with my 200 horse Mercury that got me to my hot spot first only to discover later that the bigger fish were caught near the ramp. I give thanks for the big fish I caught pre-fishing for the tournament only to have the weather change with rain and gale force winds on tournament day. But seriously most of all I give thanks for and to each and everyone of you who has touched my life on BFT. Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone of you. [fishin] [signature]

I'm greatful to be sitting in my ice house with my boys getting 3g service and reading ntt posts while it is slow . (i should say slow for now. We are up to 45 nice henrys fish.

I give thanks as well to the many new friends that I have made here on BFT and can't wait to meet each one of you.
I am truely thankful for what Our Lord has given us and the invitation He gives to come and partake of His table. That includes the pie and fishin! [signature]
