Third entry January 30, 2012. 16" Valentine's Pond. Caught on 1/2oz Black spinner bait, Single Colorado blade.
Went to Valentine's in Payneway and caught another 16" bass today. Caught about 5 others in the 1lb to 3lb range. This fish was about 3.5lb's. Tape measure is not aligned but its 16".
That largemouth bass I have named from Valentine's broke my line again today. I know people say your line should never break if you have drag and stuff set right but this fish is notorious for hitting and running like a freight train and snapping lines. About 3 of us have hooked her and all have had their line broke. I plan to go there during spawn with some heavy braid line and just fish for her this spring. She has to be over 10lb at least. She is legendary around these parts between about 8 of us that know of her and we don't tell anyone around here. Our little (big) secret.
Here is the 3rd entry for the contest.[fishin]

Notice how much healthier the fish in Valentine's are compared to my other two entries that are both from the church pond. I think that's why Valentine's has a lunker. The bass in this pond are always fat and healthy.
Valentine's pond also is home to crappie like the one I caught a while back from there, my largests crappie to date. Pic below:

My fellow Angler, my bass was caught during our thanksgiving vac.I caught this bass behind Tiger Woods house in Orlando so this bass deserves credit,"you can see Tigers house in the background".Bass was caught on a 5" tiki snake with no weight using a 3/0 hook, using 15lb powerpro, bass was in heavy cover deep in the lily's,caught from my boat. First bass I hooked burst my line that day, then struggled to finally land one Pic commoing soon!

18" bass on tiki snake. As they say ,the proof is in the pudding[ ].Well,l as some of you may know ,on thanksgiving we drove up to Orlando, this time I was able to take my boat although I did catch a bigger bass last time from shoar. It was nice to explore the lake and chat with other boaters. I was a bit hung over but still managed to enjoy some nice bass on the grill,"cooked it whole".P.S.I grew up in S. FL. Bass always come first in my book,it was only later the Peacock bass were introduced here, good fun,but there is just something about a bass,I like to use the peacock bass for largemouth bait[laugh] [inline Alfred.jpg] A little more about me,I like to help others. This is Alfred,my paraplegic friend, its hard for him to fish, but when he does he's untouchable,I normally only win 2 or three times a year, but I got fish of a lifetime in his canal,9.9lb[sly].Alfred and I caught this bass,it was a big fight on whose fish it was,I set the hook first, but Alfred got it in first? In the end we gave it to the boat.Alfreds hook is the wide gap hook. Each fishing with no barb, for me incase they swallow it.He does it for the quick release. [inline wave.jpg]
P.S.I should get something for posting the only wave product, you can clearly see my ticki snake from wave "bottom left",[#4040ff]can I at least have a bft sticker[/#4040ff]?somebody anybody.....

Two more entries. 2/27/2012.
18.5 almost 4lbs. 19" right at 4lbs 7oz. Caught both of these at Valentines today on white spinner bait that I modified. It has a small willow blade in front and I put a large Colorado blade on the back.
18.5
[inline 18.5.JPG]
19" caught on same spinner bait. Its weight was right at 4lb 7 ounce. Fat bass. Camera was set to night photo when I took this and didn't notice until I got home. I fixed it for the other picture above. That smaller one was caught about 20 minutes later.Click pic for larger image.

OK obviously I won the most bass posted and largest. oh yea, Unless Paulpro ( My Nemesis) pulls one out of his hat with a 2012 BFT sticker in the next 3 hours and it's been dark there for a bit now.
I went fishing again today at valentine's ... lost a good 3lb'r because the white spinner bait wasn't working for some reason and I went to a white/shad rapala rippin rap and got a good strike and didn't set the hook well. The bass jumped and was gone after just a few seconds. Probably a good 18" bass. Caught a few 14" to 16" ... didn't post them in the other contest because I am starting to feel dumb posting so many over 14" this early.
I fish for bass a lot and catch A LOT of bass over 14" so I got that 100$ bass pro shop in the bag.
Right now I got the only largemouth 19" so I am winning the most over the minimum length for my zone on that contest too.
Come on Paul! Someone ... Let's get this party started.
