Backcountry Report
#1
Now that SW FL is experiencing a more summer like weather pattern and the cold fronts have subsided, the backcountry action couldn't be better. The snook and redfish bite in the creeks and residential canals has been phenomenal primarily jigging with soft plastics in the deeper troughs along the bushes where there's the most tidal flow and in deeper holes near structure. We've also had more than our share of juvenile tarpon on fly throwing small baitfish patterns in the backwater canals.
