P.I. Sound Flats Report
#1
Juvenile tarpon are still concentrated in the backwaters and continues to be productive especially on the last of the outgoing tide. Fly, small jigs, and soft plastics have all been catching fish. Look around creek mouths and deeper holes for rolling fish.
With the persistent SW winds, fishing has been slow on the flats. Clients have been catching trout and flounder working the potholes with plastics and topwaters on the late afternoon tide which has been good the last few weeks.
