Are you aware that the Shoshone-Paiute tribe at Duck Valley Reservation has a web-site that gives up-to-date fishing info. Lots of good stuff, including some great pics of big trout and monster smallmouth bass recently caught. Mike

The tribe also recently started a Facebook page with the intent of making it easier to post pictures and current fishing results directly from anglers from anyone that would like to share. For those of you that have visited the reservation in the past and are thinking about a trip down there, it's also important to understand that the fee structure for the permits changed this year. Basically they did away with the Sheep Creek and Mtn. View combo one day fishing permit and combined those two with Billy Shaw and raised the fee to 20 bucks to fish in any of the three reservoirs per day. Considering the quality of the fishing in my experience isn't all that much different at any of the three, it kind of makes sense. Billy Shaw typically is one of the better destinations in the SW Idaho general vicinity if you're into fly fishing from a pontoon or float tube, especially in Spring. Mainly because they don't allow gas powered motors so that keeps the wakes from bigger boats out of the equation.

The new fee is $15 to fish all three reservoirs. It's a good change in my opinion.
I fished DV Wednesday of last week, although the weather cut the day off short. I released a 4 lbs and 3.5 lbs trout, plus another dozen smaller fish. Kind of slow, but fun.
