Funds not avail to buy a bowmount trolling motor with remote control or longer wiring for the foot pedal. The boat i have doesn't have a casting platform on the bow so a lot of the bowmount trolling motors won't work due to the wiring for the foot control being to short. Can you splice in longer wirings? You know black to black, white to white and so on.

I don't know but I saw some trolling motors a few weeks ago at NPS. I bought mine there brand new for pennies on the dollar.

You can but there is some kind of issue about the longer the wire the more ther voltage drops. Why don't you just mount a battery up front? I have done it on two different boats, a closed bow and an open bow.
