Whats up guys, been a little quite around the boards lately so here are my reports from this last weekend. It was a long tiring weekend of fishing. Hit the road at 3 am on Sat heading to Eagle Valley. Got on the water right a daybreak. Fishing was steady all day, ended with over 35 fish most of which were hold overs and over 1.5 lbs. The key was staying on the bottom up near the north end of the reservoir using power bait and water bobbers for weight. We still managed quite a few tolling but that bite was hit or miss. Dont think i had a line in the water for more then 5 minutes without a fish on it. Only fished about 6 hrs, but it was a great day for some trout fishing. You can see from the pics from of our keepers had some nice color and length.

Made it home around 8 pm, after a stop at a few of the dive bars along the way back from the Pioche area. Quick shower and off to bed, just to wake back up at 3 am and head out to Lake Mead with another one of my fishing buds.We got on the water right at daybreak, calm winds and a little chilly. Morning actually started off slow, hit the occasional LMB but nothing special. Went from reaction baits to drop shots and thats all she wrote. From about 9:30 am to 3 pm we put over 35 fish in the boat (catch and release) and lost about 15 at the boat due to gear malfunction and some CRAPPY line i had to switch it up to after a nasty birds nests. One of the most productive days on the water in quite a while. Most of the fish we pulled in were sitting in submerged brush in 15 - 25 ft of water in the middle of coves. Nailed a couple fatties in the shallows also. Big fish of the day came in at 3.75 and the average was size LMB was 1.8 lbs. No strippers and only a couple of smallies.

As you can see by the below pic...we were in the fish lol. Wasnt uncommon to find areas hold 100+ LMB but once you pulled 3 or 4 out the the bite would stop, that and its hard to be stealth in a big ass pontoon boat. Spotted a couple of LMB that would have easily topped 8 lbs.
