Recycled Fish "On Ice" Tour heads to the Wisconsin Ice Fishing Show
#1
The Recycled Fish "On Ice" Tour presented by Ice Team is off to an epic start, and the highlight of the weekend to come is the Wisconsin Ice Fishing Show. The Patriot Center in Rothschild, Wisconsin, a suburb of Wausau, will fill with ice fishing's finest, and Recycled Fish is proud to serve as the conservation partner to the show.

"Our focus is on bringing young people into the sport," said Brad Hansen, Wisconsin Ice Fishing Show Producer. "Having Recycled Fish as the title sponsor of our 'Shanty Town for Kids' makes sense because the organization speaks to how we can involve kids in fishing and stewardship of our waters now, while helping to guarantee that there are still healthy waters to fish in the generations to come."

Recycled Fish will bring three interactive learning games for kids to the show. "Hot Toss" presented by Grabber Warmers is a bean-bag toss style game where kids use warmers to learn about selective harvest and cleaning up our waters. "Which Fish Is This" presented by Ice Team teaches them fish ID, and simple lessons on different species of fish. Finally, an interactive photo display puts them into the scene of a great day of ice fishing without ever leaving the building.

Meanwhile, parents will enjoy voting for the custom rods in the Northeast Ice Fishing Rod Builder's Challenge, taking the Sportsman's Stewardship Pledge, checking out the Iceaholics Anonymous "World's Largest Tip-Up," or scoring raffle tickets to help support the Recycled Fish "On Ice" Tour.

The Wisconsin Ice Fishing Show boasts "family friendly" pricing - admission is just $6 for adults and free for kids 12 and under. Hours are Friday, Dec. 7 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Our ambasSadors will have fun and make a difference with live events at many of our retail partners across the ice belt this weekend," said Recycled Fish Program Director Ben Leal, "but at the Wisconsin Ice Show, our team gets to go face-to-face with so many people who are fired up about the cold weather to come, and we think that this show is going to be the beginning of a great new tradition in Wausau."

The Recycled Fish "On Ice" Tour presented by Ice Team is made possible through the support of Ice Team, Clam Corporation, Vexilar, Grabber Warmers, HotSpot Outdoors, the Alaska Conservation Foundation and B&J Promotions with other partners, including individual contributions from concerned anglers. Additional support for the Recycled Fish "Hardwater Open" Tournaments presented by Scheels comes from Berkley and Fenwick.
