Last minute decided to go up to Scofield tomorrow 12/27. Anybody know where the best spot to drop my line and what bait is working the best? I also know it has been snowing up there I am wondering how deep the snow is on top of the ice, should I bring my snowshoes? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Went to scof today from 1030-330 and caught little fish with mealworms, nightcrawlers, flies. The ice in the dam arm is 6 inches deep. in some places it is 2 inches deep with slush all around. We saw folks fishing in the first boat ramp turn off, off the rocks on the east side and the dam arm. good luck and be safe.

Just got back from Scofield. It was blowing like crazy and the snow was coming down. If you don't have a tent it might be a short trip. We fished the dam arm and there was plenty of ice (6-8") in about 15 feet of water. We caught about 40 fish with only one cutt in the 20 inch category. All the rest were tigers, cutts, and a few bows in the 12-15" range. White paddle bugs tipped with a worm fished on the bottom did the trick....that and a heater, tent, and good gear. Good luck.
