Hyrum Iced Bows

I took the girls to Hyrum on 1/1/13 for the first icefishing trip of the year. We caught plenty of little planter rainbows and itkept the girls entertained and me busy baiting rods. I got the chance to use myJaw Jackers for the first time and I am impressed. These things are awesome forkids. They girls were having trouble setting the hook on the fish. As soon asthe Jaw Jackers were set all they had to do was pick up the rod and reel in thefish. I don’t work for them or get paid for saying they rock, but they do!

We were closer to the east end, and the ice was 2 - 2 1/2 inches clear with 2+ inches of frozen slush on top. Plenty safe for walking. Some crazy was out there with a 4 Wheeler, but we stayed clear of him.

big Smiles and a big-a-bendo! Nice. Sounds like ya'll had a good day out. We had some pretty good action that day too, but nothing over 15, and only one perch iced. But - it'll be better next time. (always tell myself that!)
