I tried to call down there but couldnt get any info. Does anyone know how thick the ice is and has anyone been fishing there yet?

We checked by dam on Monday and only found safe ice in outlet. But it was ony in 6 ft if water.

Found safe ice in a few places at painted rocks in up to 20 ft and graphed a bunch if fish but no bites for the two of us in 3 hours. May try again next week.

I drove by on the dam side 1/1/13 (chasing bunnies). Main lake had patchy ice and open water, including by the dam. Looked like solid ice from the starting of the narrows up lake. I would imagine painted rocks is probably close to fishable but can't confirm it.
