Excellent. You deserve it from posting such great stories and pictures.
The thing I like about you is you are not a fishing elitist like so many people have become.
You fish with whatever tackle is needed and in such odd spots to help our fishy friends have an out of the water experience.

And I'm glad you registered so you could tell me!
Thanks. It's really a very nice gesture and totally unexpected. The people of these online fishing forums are some of the greatest folks this world could hope to grow.

What a sweet place to catch that cutt. That's awesome about the auger too. You deserve it.

Not to "hot spot " here but where can you fish at lunch and not have snow and ice to contend with? Are you indoors? [crazy]

Well right after I started working where I do, a guy that was "training" me noticed that I was hopelessly addicted to fishing.
He decided to take me over to one of those spots on lunch break and swore up and down that there were fish in it.
Soon enough, I was out there trying it and hooked into a fat rainbow.
The rest is history. It actually sparked a big interest in small, overlooked streams, ditches, and out of the way ponds.
Now I see water and make a mental note to try it sometime. More often than not, I get some validation for my efforts.

The pics don't show the snow all around the area, but this was the downstream side of a culvert where a creek flows under the road in PG.
It's on the other side of the road from where I caught my huge walleye, last year. It's also the first place I ever tried fishing on that creek.
