Hyrum again - this day jdawg joined the fray, and we went out, got on some fish, and really didn't move around much.

Hit some of my leftover holes, and plunked a few new. Guess what - the trout still come through. Had some dinkers off the bottom, and some heftier ones at mid-depth.

No perch this day, though I swear some of those low depth were quite perch-like on sonar!

Sure was cold cold cold. Saw a "spring" on the way out. Ok, so don't know that it's a spring, and the ice all around was sounds. Sleds had passed not 3 feet away. But the "hole" was moving water, and think it had been bubbling up water onto the surface- as it was all slushy around there. Bet it gave the sledders a pucker moment to suddenly go from fluffy powder to wet wet slush. Gushy!

A string of tents along the inlet path, and off to the west also. Air was clear, and bitterly cold. At least it wasn't windy! Or we WOULD have set up a tent. Instead we had sniffle battles to pass the time between trout.

You know it's cold when your fish frost to icicles!
