Fished near the upper boat dock from sunup to 1:00. Steady action until noon using a jig tipped with meal worm. I tried targeting trout with a Kastmaster/crawler and caught kokanee on it.

Iced one nice brookie and had a couple of bigger fish break me off.

The wind was fierce. My hat's off to those intrepid souls who didn't have a shelter.

Ice seems seven feet thick to a guy with a hand auger.

Great day on the ice. Might try to get out there again.

I really want to get my kids up there for some Kokanee action. I've heard from several others that the average size is down - did you notice this as well?

The kokanee are smallish - about 10 inches on average. They eat well, though.
