It's almost impossible to get on right now even with a plank because they filling the lake so fast the edges are soft and dangerous.

We were there on Saturday. The reservoir is back up to the same level it's been in years past and I think filling has slowed way down. There were lots of people out on the ice and the edges were solid even when we left at 4:30. Ice was about 10" thick. Everyone out there was catching fish that I saw. Mostly 11 to 12 inch tiger trout and rainbow, our biggest was a 16" tiger. We fished in 15ft of water on the east side and was catching them on very small ice jigs that were red, orange and green with black dots or stripes tipped with night crawler or chub meat. Chub worked the best for me. I thought it would have bad edges too this year til I read the updated report on the state parks web last week where the ranger said it was finally iced over good and fishing was good, so we went and tried it.
