Road to AF Harbor "closed" today

I was in the general vasectomy of AF harbor today so I thought I would drive down and have a look-see. The road had barricades and a "closed" sign. I could see a track hoe beside the "AF River" ditch, so I assume they're cleaning it out to prevent the flooding over the road later this spring, which has been happening too often. I didn't try driving down there, but they might not let you drive all the way to the harbor until they're finished.
