Lost Creek gate closure - maybe not!
#1
I received an e-mail from a DWR fellow and said that the gate was closed by the Bureau of Reclamation folks as a concern to the private land owners above the reservoir. He said the BOR and Utah State Parks are trying to set up a meeting about this topic. At the very worst, he mentioned moving the gate closer to the reservoir.[shocked] Maybe you can fight city hall! His name is Craig Schaugaard and is the Regional Aquatic Manager for DWR out of Ogden. Phone is 801-476-2770 with e-mail @ craigschaugaard@utah.gov. Looks like he can help us![Smile]

Thanks for the info Neal, last year they said they were going to keep it closed all winter but after a month or so they opened it up. I guess that would be the second best thing to move the gate closer, that is quite a walk from the bottom to the top. WH2

I know what you mean about the hike up the hill we did it alot before they opened the gate. I don't know what the big deal is about keeping it open anyway. If they move the gate closer there will be a parking problem. I guess we will have to wait and see.
