Decided to give Willard a break. Got down to Utah lake about four in the afternoon. I was targeting walleye. Silly me. Caught some mudders, whities, and my biggest largemouth to date. She weighed in at 4.5 pounds on the digital scale. I've caught hundreds out of Powell, but never one that big. I watched her race out of a tumble weed and drill the curly tail at my feet. Pretty exciting. Naturally I had my bro in law take a bunch of pics, but it's a new phone he doesn't know how to work. The pictures didn't save. I let her go to spawn. Healthiest largie I've ever caught. She was literally bigger around than she was long.
