I plan on going this Wednesday-Saturday, weather permitting to Woodhead Park down by the Dam. If I can get online while down there I let you know. I'll be by myself if you want to go out with me in the boat. Anyone else on this site is also welcome. I'll be fishing for bass and crappie.

I was just thinking about posting that same question. Last year I never hit it right and would like to get the kids into some crappie this year (no boat).

Updates appreciated...

Thanks

If you get a chance to fish with EZOP , take it . He probably has more knowledge than most about this lake . If I lived closer I would be there for sure . Curt G.

Yes I'll be staying at Woodhead, going down Wednesday mid morning. We could take boat below Dam and chase some of those big smallies up against the Dam or I'll be willing to bank fish with you for cats. Haven't done that for a while, sounds like fun.

I don't bank yank much anymore, do all my cat fishing out of my boat, got a 1872 seaark with a 140 jet outboard,

At Woodhead now, not sure I'll get any fishing in tonight, but I'll check the fish cleaning stations out and maybe try for some crappie at the pump house.

Cleaning station empty, some scraps of crappie. Between the rain walked to the pump station and with a white crappie jig caught 4 smallmouth in the 12-14 inch.

To hell with the groundhog; I can accurately tell when spring/summer is here by waiting for EZOP to head to Brownlee! Mike

I didn't figure there would be much there, seems like there are not too many people that will brave the spring elements for crappie, not sure how many people have the know how/where too look this time of year, good luck, looks too be pretty cool and breezy,

Lots of bass, nothing big. Drop shot or lipless cranks is about all I used. Well I did start out crappie fishing, but after getting the first bass my mind went from search for crappie to catch, catch, catch bass. I think my plan tomorrow will be to drop shot for a big smallie, if that don't happen try some spots for crappie.

Hey EZOP,
Did you get into the crappie at all over there?
The kids have Wed off this week and I'm trying to figure out where we can get in some catching.
