Pelican Lake needs your help removing Carp
#1
Northeastern Region Aquatics will be doing a carp removal project at Pelican Lake monday through thursday for the entire month of April. The work will involve using a work boat to remove carp from gill and trap nets several times throught the day. Carp data will be collected and fish will be disposed of. Shifts will run from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and two people will be needed each day. Only one person needs to be a DWR employee, so you may schedule a volunteer of your choice. There should be time to fish.

Wonder how it's going to affect the fishing while they are doing the netting? Either way even if it sucks, to get rid of those buggers is worth it!
